Shutters for built-in wardrobe in the Stroud area
Following a referral from a local building firm, we were contacted by a customer who wanted to have shutters installed, creating a built-in wardrobe. Based in St Chloe, in Amberley, near Stroud, our customer wanted to complete the look of their home, matching interior shutters to their existing design choices.
The new shutters would add a finishing touch to the bedroom design, providing a contemporary design, as well as tidying up the available storage space.
Rather than for windows, our customer wanted shutters for a wardrobe, making the best use of available space in the room. The wardrobe shutters didn’t need louvre operation, so our customer opted to have them fixed in place, rather than being operable. A small amount of air flow is still allowed through the louvres, providing a degree of ventilation to the clothes and possessions kept behind the panels.
During the initial free home survey, we helped our customer settle on the Fiji range. As they wanted the shutters to match existing furniture and doors, they also selected the Golden Oak wood stain.
In the Fiji range, the stained option is made from beautiful Paulownia that emphasises the natural grain of the wood. As it can be re-harvested rather than re-planted, Paulownia is also a sustainable option for the more environmentally conscious.
The best choice for the wardrobe doors seemed to be shutters on a free-floating track system. This would provide access either at one end or across the full width of the room as desired.
Chosen because we were a local company, our customer was so impressed with us at Shuttercraft Gloucestershire that they also placed another order at the same time. They wanted some premium Pure Wood Venetian Blinds to cover the windows in their living room.
